Co Spring/Summer 2016.

Tues. 09/15/2015.

Co Spring/Summer 2016.

There was a charming and rather palpable energy and feeling of the fashions of the 60's in California permeating the Spring/Summer 2016 collection from designers Stephanie Danan and Justin Kern for their label Co, one that suggested Mia Farrow, Jean Seberg and Jane Birkin, short, sassy and chic in all the best possible imaginings. From swingy Trapeze coats to prim and naif Peter Pan collars to the abbreviated hemlines, everything looked bathed in the light of the Mod generation made current. In their brief and finely edited collection, Danan and Kern said quite a lot with quite a little, it was all easily and sumptuously wearable, and oozed style.

Noteworthy offerings, a chic, mod, patch pocket hidden button short suit in Cream that had Mainbocher written all over it, yet rendered in modern form, or a Peter Pan collared Jackie O A-Line coat in the same shade of Cream that was as effortlessly cool as the velvety colour was warm! Danan and Kern leaned into a chic and elegant vibe that served them exceptionally well and showed their technical skills and prowess were not to be questioned, and within that, extracted a collection from them that was classic, yet modern and spectacularly attractive!

That's All.
