Shane Gabier and Christopher Peters are the new Power Duo in Fashion in the Great Tradition of Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabanna, Jeffrey Costello and Robert Tagliapietra, Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez... And as a New Voice in the Fashion Firmament, they are speaking with a Distinctive Patois that is assuring they will be a force to be reckoned with. Fall 2014 seen the duo refining their Aesthetic to the point of almost unrecognizable from their previous work, Yes it Said "Creatures Of The Wind" but this... This was a Whole new Animal being seen here. Flawlessly Eccentric and Chic with a Dark Whimsy attached, Their Fall collection came off as a Surprise of the highest order!
The collection was Impressively Beautiful. Witty, but in a Arch, Sinister way. There was a Darkly Fantastical vein running through this showing, Almost Fairy Tale, of the Grimm sort. Finding their path by looking to up the Luxury Ante of their clothing, Gabier and Peters found themselves traversing the roads of Eastern dress rendered in Western formation. Even though these experiments in East-West melding yielded Fabulous Results, it was when the Duo let the clothes do the talking that they shouted with confidence from the Mountain Top! Take Exit No. 4 on Old-School Supe Ohmayra Mota, A Clean Gunmetal Grey topper over a Tweedy knit Jumpsuit that was Quiet and Confident and spoke Volumes! Equally, when the Confluence of East/West met in the most perfect conditions, it bred the low-waisted Kimono style bathrobe wrap coat in Exaggerated Moire that was an Instant Pulse racer!
The show confidently marched along to it's own magpie drummer and showed Gabier and Peters in Rare Form, A Pink topcoat at Exit No. 25, A beautiful Knit Column dress with a Animal print intarsia bodice at Exit No, 31... and many roads in between, It was an outstanding progression for the duo and gives one the impression that there are big things on the horizon for the duo of Gabier and Peters.
That's All.
Bye4Now!
