It would do Alexander Wang a WORLD of Good if he Wiped the Slate Clean, Once and for all of the Memory and Legacy of Nicholas Ghesquiere, Number One, He's a MUCH Better Designer. Number Two, It's hindering him being so Obeisant to what came before him. Balenciaga now needs to be what Wang Wants it to be, Not what it was.
In saying that, he needs to excise all those Annoyingly ugly Hallmarks of Ghesquiere. Yes, he must know the history of what Nicholas did and how it made the house Famous, but it's time he simply stopped Furthering Nicholas' Conversation and Started his Own Dialogue. There was something to be said for a few Exits, The two Dresses decorated with Zipper Shoulder seams and Other Zips, had that Wang Sporty/Urban Flavour, while a Latex Laminated Knit bright Mustard toggle coat was Practically SCREAMING "Buy Me!" As did a Olive Green Leather Dress which was Throwing some Serious Retro Chic Attitude!
But, that's kinda where it Ends. The rest was pretty much Give or Take, There was too much experimentation going on and made the clothes look Overly Complicated and Intricate for no other sake than to just be Intricate. All the Miserable things that were produced at this House when Nicholas was there should be gone, but not entirely forgotten. It's not Wang's Job to continue on in the way of "What Would Nicholas STILL Be Doing" It's his job to take What Was and What Is and make it ALEXANDER WANG!
The sooner he gets that into his Brain, The Better everything will turn out for all concerned!
That's All.
Bye4Now!
