Milly's Fall 2014 collection struck a Kooky balance between Sophisticated Sportswear and Subversive Wit. Citing Ballerinas as her "Style Stars" for the season, Michelle Smith gave a Wonderful treatise on unstudied dressing for the Fall season. It's hard to capture Spontaneity in a Fashion Show, but Smith's clothes looked just that, As if she had Literally dressed them on the way out to the Catwalk. It was Mighty Brave. And Mighty Great looking, Too!
There was much to choose from here in the way of Excellent Fashion! From the White sweater with a feathery Mongolian Lamb front paired with a layered Champagne Pink skirt at Exit No. 2 to the Speckled Sand tweed Wrap Blazer paired with a Sparkly Frost Pink Full-Length pleated tulle "Tutu" skirt at Exit No. 5. Taking Fantasy dressing to the City streets a Milk White Shaggy Mongolian Lamb coat worn with a Crochet knit sweater and Banker Grey slim pants at Exit No. 13 or the utterly Perfect pairing of a White pleat front blouse with sheer sleeves worn with Steel Grey Pleated trousers at Exit No. 23 that will refresh and illuminate any Woman's Wardrobe come Fall!
There were many more riches to be had in the mainly All-Black second half of the show, Some of which were rather naughty! But it all worked together and provided for a Strong and Confident showing that lacked not one iota of Charisma, Charm or Vitality! To wear a lot of the outfits as is would require a certain amount of Chutzpah on the part of the Wearer, But broken down into pieces, There's a Gold Mine of treasures here for a Gal to take to heart and wear with Utter ease when the weather turns a little more cool! With this collection, Michelle Smith and her Milly label are showing that they are both far more than Contenders, In fact, with this collection, Smith Delivered a Solid One-Two Punch of a Knockout!
That's All.
Bye4Now!
