Diane Von Furstenberg.

Sun. 02/09/2014.

"The Journey Of A Dress" Could there be anything more appropriately well suited to the biography the life of Ms. Diane Von Furstenberg? That was the name of the Exhibit based on Von Furstenberg's World Famous Wrap Dress and how it has influenced fashion and transformed over Ms. DVF's 40 years in the Fashion Game!  It has certainly been one helluva ride and Ms. DVF has weathered that ride with a Zesty Joie De Vivre and Radiance that is particularly Incomparable! Diane is the Living EMBODIMENT of Diva! All that has propelled her into being a Star of the Highest Magnitude and also because she is one damn shrewd Businesswoman, She has also kept her Business relevant.

For Fall 2014, DVF Called her Collection "Bohemian Wrapsody" For the woman who made her fame on the Wrap Dress, it was an Apt and Cheeky play on words. But Boho Or Noho, Von Furstentberg's Fall collection was a thing of Magic! Celebrating her Anniversary in the business by opening with a Replica of her original dress, updated for the woman of Now. Next was a Translation of the same dress in the same print but now worked as a long Wrap Shirt/Tunic worn over pants and with Cropped Jacket. An aside, One thing that makes Von Furstenberg so amazing is her Fearlessness using prints. Every season, she busts out numerous prints and clashes them together so Expertly and Effortlessly that she makes it look Natural and Easy and perhaps for her, it is! This season was no exception. Prints from the Vaguely Tribal to the Baroque to the Celtic to the Fanciful were omnipresent!

There was MUCH to marvel at here, So many Options, So many ways to mix and match! DVF served up Limitless possibilities for her clothes. giving the woman a freedom rarely seen in Fashion! A few pieces that pushed ahead of the others in the case of making an impression more so in the mind... A Velvet Tunic printed in Crescent Moons with sheer sleeves printed in Stars and worn over a pair of wide pants at Exit No. 10 was one of the best outfits in the show! A Rust and Sevres Blue Embroidered coat thrown about the shoulders of a Lapis Blue dress embellished with Purple Jewels at Exit No. 26 was Catching Fire! A Black shift swirled in Marine and Ocean Blue Applique Embroidery and Sequins at Exit No. 32 was Party ready for Young and Not-So-Young Alike.

After 34 Exits, DVF Sent out the Finale Parade, Utterly Desirable Brief Dresses all in Gold Colour Materials. It was a Perfect ending to for a Woman who has for so many years set the Gold Standard of Class, Chicness, Style, Humility and Glamour! If Diane was Celebrating a Golden Anniversary a Little Early, Who's to Blame Her...!?!

That's All.
