Kenneth Cole Collection.

Mon. 02/10/2014.

So here we go again with The "Amish Mafia"??? Already Witnessed At Public School and More Quaker than Amish at Tibi, The good old Penitent Religions have made a surprising appearance for Fall 2014. Kenneth Cole has succumb it would seem as well. His version though was the most Gangster of them all and was one of his best collections!

Working in a Tough Chic mode, Cole and his collaborators kept the proceedings based primarily until the end in nothing but Black, Grey, White and well... More Black, More Grey, Et Al... As for the last sliver of the collection, Cole injected deep tones of Red, from Brick Red, to Claret, to Blood Red and Puce. The Reds Gave something of a relief from the Monotonous relay of Black/White/Grey but weren't as wholly effective as one would have hoped. They functioned actually, to be a Jarring turn of events and some were not that Bloody attractive, Truth be told.

When Cole kept things Spectator, He won the Day. On his Men's side, the Suiting options were Phenomenally Covetous and the Outerwear was just Award Winning, In fact a Pinstripe Suit with a Black Coat at Exit No. 3 gave Me CHILLS! As did a Tweedy Ensemble at Exit No. 25. Want that in my Wardrobe Now, Please?!?

On the Women's Front, There was a more Dressy aspect to Cole's Woman this season, less Urban Trendy, More Fashion-y! That's a Good Thing. It rendered results like Exit No. 9, in which a Long asymmetric Pinstripe tunic glided over a pair of slightly cropped pants and looked Divine! A Savage Shaggy Fur lined Leather coat looked Smashing over a Sinuous Black Stretch Jersey Dress at Exit No. 29. And Exit No. 34 just was a Knock Out punch in a reinvented Tux look that was equally Chic and Cool!

Kenneth Cole is always one of the shows I want to see most of all during the season, I love his Vision of fashion as it fits in with my own, and I love that he is never afraid to inject sarcastic wit into his work, This show was less on the Wit and more on the Style and it was better for it, the Clunkers in the mix of the last few edits were easily and mercifully forgotten when the rest was as Mightily Strong as they were! Cole rarely disappoints, This showing was no different!

That's All.

Bye4Now!
