Theory.

Theory.

The Power Of Quietness! That's what one was moved to one's Core by in witnessing this Absolute Masterpiece of a Collection for Fall 2014 from Olivier Theyskens for Theory (which dropped the "Theyskens'" from it's name this season) Quietness and Grace. Grace with an Edge, but Grace, Yes! It was a Shockingly Brilliant dissertation on how REAL Clothes, the clothes that take women through their daily lives, Work, Kids, Dinner with her Lover/Husband/Wife/Significant Other, Visiting the Family Upstate, Travel... all the whole Compendium of daily Minutiae that Comprises the life of a Woman outside of the Celebrity, Society, Rich Girl Spectrum! And in that, it was also as much showstopping pieces for the Woman of that Echelon, too! That it navigated that line so carefully and managed to dialogue with both halves of this equation of Everyday Woman-Versus-Monied Wealth was both Mesmerizing and Positively Herculean in it's Achievement!

The clothes themselves were totally what Told the Tale. Look only to them to find all you need to know of how Theyskens' answered the question of how do you not only Adequately serve Two Masters, But Satiate and Satisfy them both with Spectacular Aplomb! From the Opening Exit to the Pantsuit of the Season near the end of the show (Get to that in just a bit...) Theyskens' exhibited a Wealth of Ability in making Clothes that will be coveted Near and Far.

From the Plays of Sheer and Solid to the delicate dichotomy of Length that see-sawed up and down and all around and even Asymmetrically, the most Powerful pieces were the, again, Quietest! The absolutely frill free Anonymous Trench at Exit No. 11 that was anything but invisible, or the Quivering Perfection of Exit No. 16, which for my money is the Outfit of not only the Show, but of the Entire Fall 2014 Season, Hand's Down! So Diamond Precise in it's execution, The Slender, Long tailored Topcoat over Miraculously Perfect Full leg trousers with a Spare Turtleneck. I. WEEP!

Exit No. 21 gave us a perfect Moment of Sensuality in and Undulating take on the Shirt Dress, this one in White with a Rippling asymmetric hem that showed Reams of leg and had a Liquid sexiness but was still Demure. And that pantsuit at Exit No. 30. Just Call it a Wrap, People. That thing is gonna HAUNT Women's Dreams!

By the time of writing this much has transpired and we now know that Olivier Theyskens' has parted ways with Theory. It's a sad situation, but someone of Theyskens' talent shouldn't be allowed to fade into Obscurity. His is a Hallmark of Utter Uniqueness and Unqualified Genius. That has to be Rallied behind and Celebrated. Losing a Talent like this is Tantamount to the extinction of a Beloved Flower or Animal in Nature. Here's to A Bright Future for Olivier!

That's All.

Bye4Now!
