Misha Nonoo.

Sat. 02/14/2015.

As much as I have tried to get into Misha Nonoo's Groove, I have found the task to be Frightfully Unachievable! Her Fall 2015 started out going in the right direction, yet by Exit No. 5 the Train was already starting to become Shaky on the Tracks. As we progressed to the Halfway point, It was clear this Locomotive was going to Derail. There were Moments, Flashes of good ideas here and there, but the patently clear fact was that most of her clothes suffered from an Intractable Trickiness or Suffocating Ordinariness that not only lent an air of Confusion to the Defile, but of the Schizophrenic as well!

The Opening Ensemble of a Wrap jacket and Well-Tailored Trousers evoked and Old-School Classiness that was indicative of Bill Blass, as did the Long, Slim Redingote at Exit No. 4, which was the Highlight of the show. After this though, Dismay! Nonoo's collection went Up and Down more than the Needle on a Sewing machine, and the Downs were noticeably more prominent than the Ups! Nonoo ended with a Futuristic, but Altogether Chic number of a Liquid-y Quicksilver long-sleeve Turtleneck and White trousers that saved the show from being a Total Hesperus-like Disaster. Nonoo has yet to fulfill any of the Promise seen in her by the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund when they nominated her a couple years back, her collections haven't solidified their Faith in her Talent (Unlike say Public School or Wes Gordon) and it's about time she Shows up to the Party with something more than Oddity and Quirk. It may sound Comic, But she needs to become more of a Yes, Yes, and less of a Nonoo!

That's All.

Bye4Now!
